Human Agenda Emulation Tour to Cuba January 17-26, 2015

Cooperatives, Health and Education in Cuba

Human Agenda is planning its second Emulation Tour to Cuba with a focus on cooperatives, education, and health in January 2015.  Cuba is now promoting industrial and service cooperatives in addition to the agricultural cooperatives that Human Agenda visited in 2012.

Deposit of $300 Due by Wed., Oct. 15, 2014

The 10-day Emulation Tour to Cuba is planned for Saturday, January 17 to Monday Jan. 26, 2015. The trip will include visits to industrial, service, and agricultural co-ops as well as visits to ELAM (the medical school), a hospital, a clinic, a school, and an ecological reserve.  Talks and dialogue will take place on the changing Cuban economy, now placing a much higher value on worker-owned co-ops and small businesses.  Since 2012 hundreds of new service and industrial coops have been formed.

This Emulation Tour follows upon the highly successful Emulation Tours of Human Agenda to Cuba in 2012 and to the Mondragon Cooperatives in Spain in July 2014.

Space is limited to 15 persons for this exciting, first of its kind Emulation Tour focusing on the new co-ops in Cuba.  The cost is $1530 plus the expenses of a religious visa and airfare, flying through Cancun. Remainder of the payment must be made by Nov. 30.
